I never realized until I started sharing my daily outfits just how much I love wearing stripes! I feel like the majority of my closet is solid colors, but I seem to find a way to sprinkle stripes into my look close to 50% of the time. There is something so effortlessly chic about stripes, and at times when I struggle to make my outfits feel interesting (read: towards the end of winter when warmth is top priority + I feel like I’ve worn everything 100 times already), stripes add the perfect pop of je ne sais qoui. This outfit is the perfect example because it couldn’t be more simple - jeans, a cardigan, and a pair of boots - but the bold dark navy and white pattern of the cardigan make it feel stylish instead of boring.

I also want to talk about these jeans, which are the Stovepipe style from Madewell in a deep indigo color. Slim-straight jeans will always have a place in my wardrobe because they’re so wearable, and these are the perfect cut. They’re slim and fitted through the hip and thigh, but instead of tapering to a full skinny leg, they stay straight enough to pull on and off easily and still fit an ankle boot underneath. Indigo jeans are trending this spring and I love the elevated, dressy look when wearing these rather than a lighter wash!
